This semester we will offer mixed-age classes, as well as the Music Together^® Big Kids class for ages 5-7 years as an optional drop-off.  The mixed-age classes are developmentally appropriate for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with their parent(s) or caregivers. This is a great way to spend time with your whole family regardless of your children's ages. We often have grandparents, other family members and nannies attend these classes.

Our fall, winter and spring semester are  ten weekly, 45-minute classes,  including songs, rhythmic chants, movement, and instrument play.  We offer a seven week summer semester.  These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability. Each family receives two CDs, songbook, and a parent's guide that is an excellent resource regarding early childhood music development.

Music Together Big Kids meet for ten weeks; classes are 60 minutes in length.  We use the same collection as mixed-age classes, but they are a shorter collection (younger kids selections are omitted).  We focus on expanding music literacy and competency by learning solfege tonic sol-fa with movable do and la minor.  We will learn drumming techniques and rhythm solfege in the beat-function system.  We share conducting experiences, explore elements of music (tempo, dynamics, articiulations).  We learn by playing musical 'games' that are developmentally appropriate for this age and encourage their choices.  There are Homeplay pages every week, and the time flies in this class!  I am so impressed with Music Together's research and implementation of this new program.  The children have more opportunities for solo singing and self-expression and they are growing immensely in their confidence!  I hope you will consider taking this next step of Music Together with us!

Policies for make-up classes and refunds

 No refunds given after the start of session.  Only credits will be given to apply to future sessions.  Materials are not returnable.  Please see Registration page for regular tuition information.   Two make-up classes are allowed only when space is available.  Please see Policy Guide under the 'About Us' tab on homepage or 'Schedule a Make-Up' under the Classes tab.
